Chilli night...

Chilli night outside, and chilli inside too - not because I have all the windows open (which I do, I love the briskyness. Good for the soul), that is to say, not chilli inside because of the weather, but rather the steaming pot of beef and bean chilli goodness bubbling away on my cook top. Can't wait.

I need to post new pics of 'The Plot' - my how it has grown, and the tomatoes are tomatoe-ing too. Particularly the Black Russian. Double yum.

I'll try to be a better blogger, I promise!

Lemon Blossoms...

Lots going on in the garden now spring has sprung. Today, for your viewing pleasure, some Lemon Blossoms (totally deserved of their capital L). For my Lemon Tree, she is Lovely, Luscious and ... Lascivious? Or is that me? Ahem. Off to watch Fringe now.

Feelin' hot, hot, hot...

Hot today, my poor old gal is really feeling it - yet she still mamages to stretch out the way she did when she was a kitten! Ah, to be so flexible.

You could almost imagine, with the PS2 cord in front of her, that she is deftly maneuvering on tip-toe across a tight wire. No, really, squint a little and look at the pic side on. See? She is however, as usual, completely unimpressed with my taking her photo. We are very alike that way.

South America here I come!...

Well, I've paid the deposit - the first crucial step. It feels so much more 'real' now - no backing out (well technically I could, but I'm not going to). Now comes all the saving, saving, saving, and the getting fit and healthy for my march over the Andes. Already I'm thinking '39 days is just not enough time!', but truth is I'll probably be so exhausted from my holiday I'll need a rest when I get home. Got the Spanish language Cd's in the car - I can now order an icecream, french fries, mineral water and wine with confidence - I should be set, right? Woo hoo! Machu Pichu here I come...
